I want to give a shout out to a friend of mine who runs her own blog over at blogspot. Unlike me, she regularly posts and has people comment on her musings. I think this site only gets 15 hits a day or something. I checked the analytics and apparently some dude in Spain has been visiting here. Whoever you are, thanks for visiting.

Enough about me. Patchwork Pond details the Bay Area scene in a sarcastic, intellectual, and amusing fashion. If you want to know what’s really going on in The Bay Area. Give Patchwork Pond a visit. You can find out about the local music scene, cool art exhibits, and most importantly read about the crazy girl who lives there, with a cat, in an apartment on fraternity row. This is highly amusing because she hates fraternities. I think she has a couple postings about this.

Simply put, this is the blog in her own words:

Ever realize that you’ve grown up in a place and have seen less than the average tourist? This is like that. Documentation of the experiences and discoveries of living in the San Francisco Bay Area, as recorded by a local early-20s working professional(s).
And by ‘early-20s working professional’ I mean sitting at a meaningless cubicle job all day playing with blogs.

Hey if you ever decide to switch to wordpress I can help you migrate, it’s much better than blogspot. Ok back to work now.

Steam Punk

I found a great blog featuring some pretty awesome photoshop paintings. They span multiple genres but there is this one posting that features Star Wars as if it were set in a steam punk world. Here is the link to the main blog: http://gorillaartfare.com/

If you don’t know what steam punk is, check it out on wikipedia.

Also, here’s the very cool star wars steam punk art. Enjoy it all!

As much as cable pundits seemed to agree that John McCain had his strongest debate yet this evening, most also saw his constant grimacing as his performance’s biggest drawback.
On Fox News, Brit Hume charitably described McCain as sporting a “peculiar” expression on his face while listening to Obama.

There have been a whole slew of these videos depicting McCain as either, “Angry” a “Zombie” or “Deer in Headlights.” Watch the video for yourself.

I have to say that I really like Joe Biden. I think someone once related to him as that off the cuff uncle who will sit you down and say, “Now look here kid, this is how it is…”

I’m glad Joe shows some back bone and character. I think being direct is a great quality in someone.

As long as there are special interests and lobbyists on the hill. It will be a slow process til change. The U.S. is a capitalist nation, people want to get paid even in cases like this where morals and ethics become meaningless.
